Porsche has revealed that it will decide whether they will participate as an engine manufacturer in the F1 from 2021 onwards this May, as that should give the guys in Stüttgart plenty of time to start developing a power unit.

Ferrari and Mercedes might be threatening to quit the F1, but should that happen that might could be softened if the likes of Porsche and Aston Martin join the party. Just like Aston though, Porsche will wait until May until it decides to participate. This is largely because of the rule changes for 2021, of which the FIA have said that they'll be largely decided by May. This should give potential newcomers more clarity.

Dr Helmut Marko has connections at Volkswagen, the owner of Porsche, which should give Red Bull and Toro Rosso the best position when it comes to potential clients. The partnership between Red Bull and Renault has seen better days, and there are more and more indicators every day that point to the direction that the two parties will break up sooner rather than later.
