Gasly shows enthusiasm: 'I've tried'

The Formula One season continues this weekend with the fifth Grand Prix of the season. In Miami, the teams will have to deal with a completely new circuit which will bring the necessary excitement. Pierre Gasly is very excited about what he saw so far.

Although the drivers did not yet go out on the track to explore the circuit, they were given the opportunity in the simulator to already get into the swing of things. Gasly noticed that the track in the United States is very challenging, so he hopes for a nice race. He tells that in conversation with F1i.com.

"I’ve tried it and I must say it looks pretty awesome. Quite a lot of high-speed content, quite challenging, unusual type of corners, extremely long corners, very long straights," he lists. "I think we should have some pretty good American entertainment, good entertainment the whole weekend, so very excited about it and the location is unique."

Gasly wants second chance at Red Bull

Gasly is vying for Sergio Perez's spot at Red Bull Racing next season. However, more and more analysts argue that the Austrian racing stable would be wise to extend Perez's contract. Jeroen Bleekemolen was also of that opinion last week.
