This is what the new Formula E cars will look like from 2022-2023

Starting in 2023, Formula E will switch to the new Gen3 cars and they have now been presented. The new design is faster, more efficient and more durable than its predecessor. Check out the photos here.

The FE began its first season as an electric racing series in 2014-2015 and has since expanded tremendously. There are now big brands on the grid, the drivers are also increasingly talented and the car itself has also improved tremendously. Whereas in the early years the car had to be changed because the battery no longer lasted, now the drivers finish the races with one car.

New Formula E cars

The Gen3 car for the 2022-2023 season was presented by Formula E on Thursday and should become the fastest and most efficient FE car ever. The new generation should be able to reach a top speed of 322 kilometers per hour. In addition, engine durability remains an important issue.

Seven teams have already signed up so far for the ninth season of Formula E. DS Automobiles, Jaguar, Mahindra, Maserati, NIO, Nissan and Porsche are on the entry list. Mercedes has already indicated that it will not participate in the new season, where as McLaren has an option to participate in the electric racing class next season, but has not yet followed through with an official entry.
