After a difficult season start, the weekend in Imola finally came when everything went right for Red Bull Racing. The Austrian racing team took its first double victory since 2016 and is thus back in the fight for the world title. So good numbers for Red Bull, but how did the other teams do?

Red Bull - 10

Max Verstappen grabbed a Grand Slam in Imola by taking qualifying, sprint race, main race and fastest lap. Sergio Perez completed the picture by coming back from seventh to third in the sprint race, and then converting that into second place on Sunday. The team also did everything it had to do by providing the drivers with a well-tuned car from the start, as well as executing all the pit stops perfectly. It resulted in Red Bull's first double win in seven years.

Ferrari - 3

Ferrari was hoping to put in a good performance in its home race, but ended up running into a messy weekend. The Italian stable saw Carlos Sainz retire on the first lap and then put all their hopes on Charles Leclerc. The Monegasque was well on his way to third place, but wanted it too much, took too much risk and lost unnecessary points as a result. The spectators saw from Leclerc at times, however, a fine piece of racing.

McLaren - 7

McLaren had an extremely strong weekend, but the team from Woking owed that entirely to Lando Norris. The young Briton drove a flawless race, after he was also in good shape in qualifying and the sprint race. Daniel Ricciardo, on the other hand, was chasing the facts, with the low point being the contact moment with Sainz on the first lap of the race.

Aston Martin - 8

For Aston Martin it was not yet the season, but in Imola the racing stable showed something of itself. Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll worked hard all weekend to get the most out of the car and it paid off, as they finished eighth and tenth. As a result, the team is off the hathetic zero and in ninth place in the Constructors' Championship.

Alfa Romeo - 6.5

At Alfa Romeo, a clear division can be seen for the time being. Whereas Valtteri Bottas seems ready to fight in the subtop with, among others, his old team Mercedes, Guanyu Zhou is struggling to get into the points. It earned the Finn, who was still battling George Russell, a neat fifth place, while Zhou had to settle for fifteenth.

Mercedes - 6

That difference was also reflected in Mercedes last weekend. Russell was in a good form and just did not manage to get on the podium. Hamilton on the other hand was very disappointing in qualifying, sprint race and race on Sunday. He tried with all his might to overtake Pierre Gasly, but did not succeed. As a result, he finished in thirteenth place.

AlphaTauri - 6.5

The wide midfield present this season also meant that AlphaTauri had to work hard to come out on top. Yuki Tsunoda showed his talents with a number of nice actions and managed to secure the seventh position, while Gasly could not complain with a twelfth place. Again points for AlphaTauri, although the team will have hoped for more.

Haas - 5.5

Kevin Magnussen has shown since his return why Haas recruited him. The driver is making an excellent impression and did well again in Italy. For a while Magnussen was in the sub-top of the driver field, but with a ninth finishing place he again credited two points. The difference with Mick Schumacher was again insanely large: he only kept Daniel Ricciardo behind him.

Alpine - 3.5

For Alpine, it was a race to quickly forget. With Fernando Alonso, the team hoped to finish well in the points, but after a collision with Schumacher, the Spaniard suddenly had to drop out. All hope was therefore placed on Esteban Ocon, but he too was unable to do much. His fourteenth place made for a disappointing weekend for Alpine, which will soon look ahead to the GP in Miami.

Williams - 5.5

Williams again failed to get points in Imola. Alexander Albon came closest with an eleventh position, but his efforts were ultimately not enough to put Stroll in trouble. Nicholas Latifi made no claim to a ranking in the top ten, as he remained far from that goal with a sixteenth place.
