Christian Horner has had enough with the ever-expanding Formula 1 calendar. The Red Bull Racing team boss fears that quantity will be preferred to quality and suggests replacing some races on the calendar with other venues.

Currently, the Concorde Agreement sets the maximum number of races at 24, but due to the cancellation of the Russian Grand Prix there are currently "only" 22 races on the calendar. In all likelihood the Qatar Grand Prix will be added as a replacement for Russia.

This brings the number of races to 23, as will also be the case next year. Horner thinks that the F1 calendar is full enough and urges the organizers to look at possible replacements for some locations. He says this according to Motorsport-Total.com.

Monaco, Belgium and France are currently seen as possible dropouts. According to Carlos Sainz, it would be a great loss to lose such classic European circuits. He stresses that he enjoys going to places like Miami and Las Vegas, but would rather not see that happen at the expense of historic circuits.
