Aston Martin suffered a lot of damage to their cars during the Australian Grand Prix. It causes the team to have to invest a lot of money in repairing their cars, causing concerns about the possible updates for this season. Martin Brundle also sees this, he states in his column on Sky Sports F1.

For years the racing team has hoped to compete with the top teams, but for the time being this is unfeasible for Aston Martin. In fact, the formation has not yet managed to score any points this year. Lance Stroll was unsuccessful in the first three races, Nico Hulkenberg replaced the experienced Sebastian Vettel in the first two races without any points and the German did not manage to finish the Australian GP.

In Australia, Stroll and Vettel also caused a lot of damage, so there is work to be done for Aston Martin. "In that respect it was a nightmare for Aston Martin," Brundle revealed. "With today's cost cap budget that's cash which really only needs to be going into updates."

Aston Martin prepares for Imola
