Charles Leclerc was able to earn 19 points in the battle for the World Drivers' Championship. The Ferrari driver finished in second place, but managed to get the bonus point for the fastest race lap, just like last week. Max Verstappen scored 25 points thanks to his victory.

The difference between Verstappen and Leclerc after two Grands Prix is twenty points. This of course has everything to do with the fact that Verstappen saw at least eighteen points go up in smoke last week after problems with the fuel supply in the final phase in Bahrain. Carlos Sainz, with 33 points, is still between his teammate and the reigning world champion.

George Russell managed to collect 22 points to date, which is six more than teammate Lewis Hamilton. Next is Esteban Ocon with fourteen points, ahead of Sergio Perez. The Mexican has not had the best start to the season as he recorded a DNF at the Bahrain International Circuit and saw a seemingly certain podium in Jeddah slip away after bad timing from the safety car in front of him.
