Red Bull Racing has found a solution to the problem that occurred with Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen in Bahrain. According to Autosport.com the fuel pump supplied as standard did not go wrong after all.

Red Bull Racing had to work hard after the Bahrain Grand Prix, as the season started far from ideal with retirements for both drivers. Verstappen and Perez were running out of fuel in their engines and neither car made it to the finish line. Reference was soon made to the fuel pump and Helmut Marko previously spoke of a vacuum in the fuel pump.

Solution found by Red Bull

While Marko could not yet state for sure that there would be a solution in Saudi Arabia, Autosport.com does have some good news. Despite the fact that nothing has been revealed by the team itself, the medium understands that Red Bull has gotten to the bottom of the problem and is happy with the solutions that have been found. These solutions are already ready for the next GP and should prevent a repeat in Jeddah.

So although there was talk of the Magneti Marelli fuel pump, the problem would not be with any of the standard parts. The problem would have arisen in a different way, but the Austrian team makes no further statements about this.
