Formula 1 announces times for winter test in Bahrain

Formula 1 has announced the times at which testing will take place in Bahrain. The sessions will start an hour earlier than during the winter test in Barcelona.

F1 has completed its first winter test. Although the three test days at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya were held behind closed doors, the journalists present and images made available by F1 still provided the necessary information from the circuit. During the winter test in Bahrain, things will be different.

Real test in Bahrain

The winter test in Bahrain is the official winter test and start of the season. Bahrain wanted to organize the official start of the season, so the test in Barcelona became a glorified shakedown. In Bahrain fans and film crews are present again, so this test can be followed live.

From 10 to 12 March the sessions will start at 10:00hrs local time, which in the UK is 7am. One hour earlier than in Barcelona. This test will also be split into two with a morning (7-11am) and afternoon (12-4pm) program.
