Recently, news came out that Andretti is going to make an attempt to get into Formula 1. The paperwork is said to have already been submitted, but the FIA is said not to be in a position to consider a new team at the moment. According to Romain Grosjean, Andretti has a better infrastructure than some teams in F1.

Grosjean stepped out of F1 at the end of 2020 after ten seasons in the sport. The Frenchman now drives in IndyCar and will join Andretti in 2022. Andretti is a big name within motorsports. The team won the Indianapolis 500 five times and has four IndyCar titles to its name. In addition, the Andretti name is currently found in Formula E, Extreme E and Supercars.

Impressive Andretti factory

Michael Andretti wants to make another attempt to add an F1 team to the program in 2024, after talks with Sauber broke down. Grosjean reacts enthusiastically to the news. "It's amazing. From the first moment I visited Andretti, I was amazed by the team. By the factory, by everything there. It [the factory] is better than some teams that I’ve seen in Formula 1, the infrastructure", he tells The Race.

However, an Andretti F1 entry would not entice Grosjean to return to the racing class. He indicates that he has put his career in F1 behind him. The Frenchman will focus on IndyCar for now.
