F1 boss does not expect teams to sabotage airflow in 2022

Ross Brawn is confident that teams will not deliberately direct the airflow at the rear of the car in such a way that rear drivers will again be troubled by dirty air.

Starting this year, the ground effect returns within the premier class of motorsports. As a result, F1 cars create less dirty air behind them, making it easier to drive close to another car for a long time without losing too much downforce. However, the racing teams can make sure that in the design of their cars they deliberately create this dirty air, but Brawn is not very afraid of that.

It is possible that the tracking will be a bit more difficult than previously simulated, but according to Brawn the reason is purely because their own teams are trying to improve their own car. The sporting director of Liberty does not think that teams are deliberately looking for opportunities to disrupt the airflow. Brawn expects that formations do not have the time and resources to put time and resources into this.
