In recent weeks, Lewis Hamilton has been the topic of conversation due to his absence on social media. Last weekend, the Brit returned to Twitter and Instagram, much to the relief of his fans. Stefano Domenicali is sure that the driver is focused on the new season.

The sadness was great for Hamilton after the loss in Abu Dhabi, when Max Verstappen managed to overtake him on the last lap for the world championship. There were rumors going around that the Brit would quit Formula 1, because the loss was too big. However, it now seems that we will see Hamilton back in the Mercedes next season.

On Saturday Hamilton posted a photo on social media announcing his return. F1 boss Domenicali is happy to see him active again. "For what I know and see, I saw the last picture of Lewis with positivity in his face and gesture. That is important, Lewis is an incredible asset to our sport and the world", he says to Sky Sports News.

Hamilton focused on goal

It will not be an ordinary season for Hamilton, as he will have to deal with the modified regulations and his new teammate George Russell. So there will be plenty of challenge for the seven-time world champion in 2022, who wants to break Michael Schumacher' s record.

"I am sure Lewis is dedicated to have a chance for the 8th championship. There was a total respect of his choice to be in silent mode. I think his battery will be fully charged for the start of the season", Domenicali ends.
