Formula One is breaking a record this season by running a whopping 23 Grands Prix for the first time in history. With the increased excitement, there are only more countries that would like to host a race in the coming years. We list a number of possibilities.

Las Vegas Grand Prix

With races in Miami and Austin on the schedule, the United States has two races on the Formula One calendar in 2022. It's not enough for the country, however, as according to various media outlets, Las Vegas is said to be considering making a race possible in 2023. Among other things, the round would have to end at the Strip, one of the most famous places in the city with casinos and fancy hotels.

Grand Prix of South Africa

Should the FIA choose to hold another race in South Africa, it would not be for the first time. Between 1962 and 1993 the African country hosted a GP no less than 23 times and several greats came along with Alain Prost, Niki Lauda and Gilles Villeneuve. Next calendar year, South Africa would reportedly like to be back on the scene. The race should again take place at the Kyalami circuit near Johannesburg.

Assen Grand Prix

The Dutch GP in 2021 was a resounding success. Not only could the organization count on many compliments for the refurbished circuit, but the Dutch fans also made an impression. The Assen circuit would like to take advantage of that, it came out at the end of last year. By 2023 the organization would like to provide a second Dutch circuit. It remains to be seen how the FIA will react.
