Raikkonen will be missed: "Kimi can always be trusted"

Kimi Raikkonen was never a man of many words during his long Formula One career, at least not when dealing with the media. Despite this - or probably because of it - he has become a real crowd pleaser. The "Iceman" has thus not only captured the hearts of Formula 1 fans, but he also enjoys an excellent reputation within the paddock.

Raikkonen has made no secret of the fact that he will not miss the Formula One world, but the other way around, the Finn will certainly be missed. For example, he received high praise from Fernando Alonso, who describes him as "fundamentally honest, a man who doesn't play games" but also as a warm-hearted person who is anything but ice cold when you get to know him.

From Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto a similar story has been heard. "I have known Kimi for a long time now, I think more than fourteen years," said the Italian in conversation with Speedweek.com. "He has always been a fantastic and very fast driver and I think he is still fast today. But on top of that, he's also a great guy."

In addition, Raikkonen is one of the few in the paddock who counts Binotto as a friend. "Kimi can always be trusted," he explained. According to Binotto, Raikkonen is respectful, even if he doesn't say much. "His behavior shows that he is a great person," he added. The Ferrari team boss therefore thinks that the whole paddock will miss him, not only for his driving skills, but also for his personality.
