The first two champions of the 2022 Dakar Rally have been announced. Sam Sunderland took the title for the second time in motorcycles and Nasser Al-Attiyah won Dakar for the fourth time in cars. Read all the final rankings of the Dakar Rally 2022 here.

Sam Sunderland has won the Dakar Rally in motorcycles for the second time in his career. After a 2017 title, he was again extremely consistent in 2022. He won only one stage, but rarely lost much time on the competition. Pablo Quintanilla is three minutes short of taking his first title, despite a win in the final race. Matthias Walkner completes the top three without a victory.

This year he took three victories, outpacing Sebastien Loeb and Yazeed al Rajhi. Carlos Sainz and Stephane Peterhansel could not resist this year due to various reasons.
