Rosberg wants to beat Hamilton again: "Would be lying if I said that"

Former Mercedes teammates Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton last competed against each other in the 2016 Formula One Championship, in which Rosberg came out on top. The old rivals will battle it out again today in the Extreme E Championship, where both have a chance to win the title.

Prior to the final race in Dorset, Rosberg and his RXR team are in the best position. Rosberg X Racing is sixteen points clear of X44, the team of his old rival Hamilton. They will not be taking their own seats in the cars. Johan Kristoffersson and Molly Taylor will be driving for Rosberg's team, while Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastian Loeb will be driving for Hamilton's team.

Rosberg wants to beat Hamilton again

The 2016 Formula One champion admits he would like to beat Hamilton one more time. "I'd be lying if I said it didn't matter," he admitted in conversation with F1-Insider.com.

"This time, however, I'm especially happy that we can turn our rivalry into something positive. By fighting it out on the track we are creating awareness for the climate crisis."

Rosberg and Hamilton are not the only famous names participating. Famous rally driver Carlos Sainz Sr. will also participate with his own team Acciona Sainz. He does this together with rally driver Laia Sanz.
