Max Verstappen lost his first spot at the start to Lewis Hamilton and was looking to make up for it on the first lap. It looked like he was going to, but Hamilton left the track so he could stay ahead of the Dutchman. There was no penalty, and no position was given back, which stung Red Bull Racing.

Red Bull not happy with FIA

"We're shocked at that. Lewis apparently gave his advantage back which we've failed to see so we're not best pleased. It's a total lack of consistency, disappointed but focused on the race. We'll do it the hard way Christian Horner," told Sky Sports. Red Bull are not satisfied with the result.

According to the British team boss, the decision of the race director is incomprehensible. "The race director made it clear you had to stay within the white line, Max did that and Lewis didn't. He didn't give anything back and that's our position." Verstappen also said over the team radio earlier that he didn't understand anything about the lack of a penalty or the return of a position.
