Sergio Perez has had a disappointing Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia. The Mexican was forced to retire after a collision with Charles Leclerc and will therefore focus on next weekend when the final race in Abu Dhabi is scheduled.

The Red Bull Racing driver realises that the world title for Max Verstappen is at stake in Abu Dhabi. At the same time, the Austrian team still has a chance of winning the constructors' championship. Perez is therefore doing everything possible to perform as well as possible in Abu Dhabi.

"It's going to be a great fight between Lewis and Max," he responded to a question from the NOS. "Really a 'big one.' We have to be there and we will be there. I think Yas Marina suits us a bit better than this circuit. Jeddah seemed to suit Mercedes, but we were able to follow their pace. That gives us hope, but the hangover is there now."

Red Bull still fighting on two fronts

Perez knows his team expects something from him in the final race. "My task in Abu Dhabi is clear. I will support Max as much as possible in his duel with Lewis, but we are fighting on both fronts. As a team, we can also still become world champions. Everything is possible. It can go either way. It will be tough again. That's logical. The stakes are high and the pressure is enormous. It almost never happens that both titles are at stake in the last race."
