The weather forecast for the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

2019-12-01 10:04:07 by Matt Gretton

As always now, Formula 1 will close the season with the classic day-to-night race around the Yas Marina Circuit. As the sun sets in Abu Dhabi,  the track becomes a lot cooler and these changing conditions might catch a few teams and drivers out. With the desert climate being its usual self, there's no rain forecast meaning the wet tyres can already be packed away for the winter break.

Temperatures look to be very similar to Saturday's qualifying session in Abu Dhabi. The sun is out constantly all-day lifting the air temperature up to around 27c. This then will then drop down to 23c as the race reaches a conclusion.

With similar air temperature drops in qualifying, the track temperature dropped by 4c, but that is likely to be more as the race will last significantly longer than the hour qualifying.
