The future of the British Grand Prix is still uncertain with Silverstone yet to confirm that they will be hosting the race in years to come. There has been much speculation about whether Silverstone will sign a contract to hold the race and it is thought that it is yet to be confirmed.

RaceFans have reported that the chairman of the British Racing Drivers Club, John Grant, told members this week that progress with Formula 1 had been made in terms of their deal.

BRDC members were told no deal had been signed with Formula 1 but “constructive” negotiations are continuing between the race promoters and Liberty Media.

The 2019 British Grand Prix is the last one on the current contract with the future beyond that uncertain. With the inclusion of new Grand Prix's next year there could even be a risk that there is no British Grand Prix on the race calendar.
