Haas won't rush Ferrucci decision

Haas junior driver Santino Ferrucci faces a nervous wait over his future with Haas following axe.

Ferrucci is potentially going to have all ties cut to Formula One following his sacking from F2 team Trident.

He was judged to deliberately have crashed into his team-mate Arjun Maini on the cool-down lap at Silverstone and was also penalised for driving with only one glove on and holding his phone between paddocks.

Haas kept quiet initially following is sacking from Trident, but Haas insist they have more important things to focus on at the moment, so they will not rush the decision.

"Haas F1 Team remains committed to gathering all of the facts and having in-person conversations with all the individuals involved in the situation," Haas said in a statement to Autosport.com.

"We are being diligent, but our priority is the last two races before the summer shutdown.

"While we want a better understanding of everything that took place, we aren't in a hurry because the German and Hungarian Grands Prix are, quite frankly, more important."

According to Autosport, Trident have considered two drivers as Ferrucci's replacement ahead of the next F2 race at the end of July in Hungary.
