The salary ceiling should include the salaries of the two drivers and those of the three highest paid employees. Max Verstappen announced on Friday that he is vehemently opposed to any introduction and his manager Raymond Vermeulen has already dismissed the plans as 'total idiocy'.
Horner doesn't see it happening
Horner agrees with the Verstappen camp. "I don't see how that should ever work, how on earth it should be maintained, with private sponsors and the like," he told the Dutch paper. "In American sports they supposedly work with salary limits too, but when I search on Google for the highest earning athletes, I really see a lot of basketball players. I think people should earn what they're worth, that's market forces."
