Contructors' Standings after the Chinese Grand Prix: Red Bull prevail

No one-two for Red Bull Racing in the Chinese Grand Prix, yet the Austrian team did excellent business in Shanghai in the battle for the world constructors' title. Closest pursuer Ferrari could not keep up with both Red Bulls in China and the main rival this time was McLaren.

Ferrari's drivers finished the Grand Prix in China in fourth and fifth positions, so the Italians did edge out McLaren and certainly Mercedes. Just as Red Bull Racing are firmly in control of first place among constructors, the same is true of second position for Ferrari. The third-placed team, McLaren, is also well behind their predecessor and well ahead of the first pursuer (Mercedes).

For now, the tension is between positions four - i.e. Mercedes - and Aston Martin, who sit in fifth place. Then, there is a clear shuffle towards the remaining participants in the championship, who will decide who finishes sixth in 2024. For now, Visa Cash App RB is in the best position there, despite Tsunoda's and Ricciardo's crashes in China.
