Windsor feels 'boring race' does not do justice to Verstappen's performance

Peter Windsor thinks Max Verstappen is not getting the praise he deserves from everyone for his achievements. The Formula 1 analyst thinks it is too easy to say the races are boring, considering all the hard work the reigning world champion puts in.

Windsor praises work of Verstappen

In his analysis on YouTube, Windsor argues that such statements do not do enough justice to Verstappen's achievements. "It's so difficult to do justice to the quality of the work that he puts in on a regular basis, let alone the team behind him and how good that car is and how well they plan their weekend," says the former Williams team manager.

He praised Red Bull Racing for the team's approach to racing, including strategically. "They can think of what's going to happen on Lap 27 of the race, when it's still half an hour into first practice on Friday or Thursday, whatever it is," he continued.

"And that's the beauty of where they are at the moment in that, where they are with that car and with the success and the knowledge they have of that car. Just wonderful to watch." Windsor also praised the performance of Perez, who, according to the analyst, is currently doing exactly what is expected of him if he wants to keep his seat with the team.

Perez finished second behind Verstappen for the second time in a row, despite a five-second time penalty. "Perez with that penalty still, there was no way he wasn't going to be second in that Grand Prix. And he was a pretty good second, a pretty very professional second. I think that's the way to phrase it. So suddenly all the talk about, Perez is going to be replaced, it's all gone out the window," Windsor concluded.
